We are implementing a CIM import process

We would like this to be schema driven.

Where in the CIMug can we find the latest CIM schema, for the time being only the CoreEquipment and diagram are to be implemented

Thank you

Hello,

We are modelling various devices. We would like to create data model for Nameplate data to capture manufacturer provided information. We can find most classes such as PowerTransformerInfo, BreakerInfo, CurrentTransformerInfo, etc. However, Three classes either have not been provided by CIM or I have not found them:

          SeriesCompensatorInfo

          CapacitorBankInfo

          FACTSDeviceInfo

Or something similar. Can someone help me finding them if CIM ever created them?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I am working on our recloser data model. There is one property we call it "Duty Cycle Total Operations". Business said it is the the maximum times that recloser does open/close operations before taken off site for service.. Can I map it into RecloserInfo.RecloseLockoutCount. SInce this field's definition is not very clear. There can be two explanations: one is how many time the recloser does closure and finally stays open (this is a setting so it should not be a manufacture spec), e.g.  4,5,6.. It can also be the maximum allowed close/open operation before the device has to go to major service. Am I mapping this field right?

For example, the unit operations is 44 in X/R 15-20%, 56 when X/R 45-55%, and 16 when X/R 90-100%. The total Duty Cyle Unit Operations is 116. the 116 is our value.

If my mapping is not right, is there any CIM class and attribute I can map to?

Hello,

I am a beginner in CIM.

In our company we use a classification called Asset class for asset maintenance, e.g. Power Transformer, current transformer, oil filled breaker, air breaker, potential transformer etc. It is the highest classification of electrical assets in our company (real assets not PSR). Then we have three levels for the assets hierarchy:

Asset Class (Power Transformer, 5 types of breakers, current transformer, etc.)

Asset Type (asset with same manufacturer same model)

Individual assets (linked to Asset type).

I don't see direct classification in CIM like this. However, we do have a class "Asset" which is same as our Assets. There is ProductAssetModel which is equivalent to our asset type. There is no higher classification I can see. But there is a kind attribute in Asset which is based on enumeration AssetKind. This enumeration contains proper asset class level values.

Can we use this attribute to distinguish the asset class. Is this proper usage of the model?

Thanks.

Is there a way to include the real and imaginary part of a complex value in the AnalogValue class?

The use-case is I have power measurements with active and reactive components to be attached to an EnergyConsumer or PowerTransformer say.

Should I use two AnalogValue elements, one refering to an Analog with measurementType: "active power" and the other referring to an Analog with measurementType: "reactive power"?

I have a quick question regarding the stage of Special Protection scheme in InfIEC61970 package. I was wondering what is the usage of Stage and StageTrigger classes? Any help really appriciated.

Anyione who is using the CIM or who provides CIM-based products and/or services is welcome to submit an entry. Currently there are two entries. It would be nice to have more. Are there issues that we need to address to make this happen?

After many months of planning, updating, and migration of content, our new CIMug SharePoint site is ready for use. But we need your feedback, both for your thoughts on format and content, but especially for reporting bugs or missing content. Thanks.

Your Process WG team.
