This working group is concerned with the definition, specification and measurement of compliance with the CIM standard and the process of validation of that compliance. The group relies on documents maintained by the UCA International Users Group and the CIM Users Group, as well as standards maintained by the IEC and others.

Validation: the process of evaluating the software at the end of the software development process to ensure compliance with software requirements; Verification: the process of determining whether or not the products of a given phase of the software development cycle fulfill the requirements established during the previous phase.
