The tours are popular and advance reservations are necessary, in particular if the group is large and service at restaurant is wanted.
Hence a reservation for Option 3 has been made for June 14 for 30 people, with lunch at Sandhamn and dinner on the way back 18:30-20:45. This means approximate departure from Västerås at 7:30 and arrival back by 22:30. Late (18:30) departure back to Stockholm is assumed – please indicate if you want the early (13:30) departure back instead. There are nice beaches so it is a good idea to bring a swimsuit.

1) 2.5 hour guided archipelago tour.
Two departure times: 10:30-13:00 or 12:00-14:30.

2) Visit to Lake Mälaren island and the Viking town Birka.
Times: to Birka 9:30-11:15, back to Stockholm 14:45-16:45.
Birka is currently being excavated. Modern vessel with lunch. Birka has a nice museum. Includes lunch and dinner at vessel. Museum visit and short walk.
Cost: 270 SEK plus food. Birka museum 95 SEK

3) Island Sandhamn outer archipelago trip.
Times: to Sandhamn 9:30-11:45, back to Stockholm 13:30-15:35 or 18:30-20:45.
Modern vessel Cinderella with good restaurant. Sandhamn has a nice restaurant. Lunch and dinner at vessel. Short walk at Sandhamn and bear at restaurant. This trip is similar to Möja but Sandhamn is a lot smaller, with no hiking.
Cost: 280 SEK plus food.
