Background
One of the most important functions of the CIM Users group (CIMug) is to provide project stories from utilities/energy companies/RTPs/ISOs that are using the CIM standards in their enterprise integration strategies or for exchanging CIM based messages/files with others external to their enterprise. We rely on you to share your stories for the benefit of other attendees.
Utilities and vendors are invited to participate in the 2010 CIM Fall Meeting in San Francisco to share their unique perspectives of CIM in the role of Smart Grid. The CIMug is looking for project case stories where the CIM standards have been used by a utility.
Call for Papers and Additional Topics
The call for presentations deadline is September 17, 2010. To have your presentation considered for the 2010 CIM Fall meeting, please submit a two to three paragraph abstract and the main points of your presentation. At the top of your abstract include your name, title, company, address, phone, and email address.
Send your abstract for your proposed 30 minute presentation topic (we ask that you limit your presentation to 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes for a question and answer period) by email to:

We will review the submittals and let you know if your presentation has been accepted by September 25.
The presentations must be authored by the utility. Vendors who worked under contract on the project can be co-authors and/or presenters on behalf of the utility with their permission if they are unable to attend the meeting.
Table Sponsors
If you are a supplier of CIM related products or services and would like the opportunity to present your capabilities to the CIM user community, please consider sponsoring a table at the CIM Users Group meeting in San Francisco. Any corporate member of the UCAIug can sponsor a demo table at the Tuesday evening reception on October 12. We have set aside time in the normal conference schedule for table sponsors to make a short presentation about their CIM capabilities immediately preceding the Tuesday evening reception. When you register for the meeting, you will be given an opportunity to add the table sponsorship to your shopping cart for a modest fee and enter a description of what you will be demonstrating. This information will be displayed on the meeting site. As a table sponsor you will get a 6 foot table, 2 chairs, and an electrical outlet for displaying marketing material and presenting product demonstrations. The tables will be located in the reception room to maximize exposure. More information on sponsorships are available on the San Francisco meeting site under vendor demonstrations. Your participation as a table sponsor will help promote knowledge and awareness of the CIM and will provide important financial support to the CIM Users Group.
