Current CIM Model

Official CIM UML model for use by CIMug members. This release is approved by IEC WG 13 and 14.
 
Welcome to the repository of CIM UML Model files. These files are the most recent official version of the model. The model is available in two file formats. The .EAP format is for use with Sparx Enterprise Architect and .XMI format supports other CIM tools (such as IBM Rational Software Modeler and CIMTool).
 
If you do not have UML tools, Sparx provides a free viewer (EALite) that is available for download at their website (click here).
 
Note:  This document library is available to the general public. However to download the file, you must have at least a guest site account. If you are a CIM member and have just created a new CIM site account, or if you have just purchased CIM membership, please allow 24 hours for your account to be given member status.

IEC 61970-301 FDIS, Third Edition
IEC 61970-301 document.   FDIS draft  submitted to the IEC for publication.  Official name of file is iec61970-301r18_iec61970cim13v19.doc. The first part of the file name is the final version of the Part 301 document. The second part is the official UML file version for CIM Release 13used for producing this document. A high level summary of changes included in the Third Edition can be found in the Forward.

This zip file contains the .EAP version of the official combined (61968 and 61970) UML file. This version was the basis for the IEC 61970-301 Base CIM international standard, Third Edition. The file when unzipped is 9.5 Mb in size.

This zip file contains the .HTML version of the official combined (61968 and 61970) UML file which is readable in an Internet browser. This version was the basis for the IEC 61970-301 Base CIM international standard, Third Edition. The file when unzipped is 28.5 Mb in size.

This zip file contains the .XMI version of the official combined (61968 and 61970) UML file. This version was the basis for the IEC 61970-301 Base CIM international standard, Third Edition. The file when unzipped is 39.3 Mb in size.

CIM UML Model – 61970 CIM 14 Version 13 (Frozen for Part 301 Release) and 61968 CIM 10 Version 28 (Frozen for Part 9 Release)
This zip file contains the .EAP version of the combined (61968 and 61970) UML file. This version contains the “frozen” version of 61970 CIM 14 for the Part 301 Release and the “frozen” version of 61968 CIM 10 for the Part 9 release.  This model is compatible with all IEC-planned 2009 IOP tests: CPSM, CDPSM, and Metering.

CIM UML Model – 61970 CIM 15 Version 01 (Working Draft) and 61968 CIM 10 Version 30 (Post Part 9 Release)
This zip file contains the .EAP version of the combined (61968 and 61970) UML file. This version contains the working draft of 61970 CIM 15 and the latest version of 61968 CIM 10 which is not compatible with Part 9 Ed. 1.  (Modifications for Ed. 2 are started.)  This model is compatible with all IEC-planned 2009 IOP tests: CPSM, CDPSM, and Metering.
